Pine tea on a snowy day

Blog Pine Tea

It’s been snowing for a while and it’s absolutely gorgeous outside.

Wanting a morning tea that was in keeping with the beauty around me, I bundled up and walked out back and picked some fragrant pine needles. The wood stove was lit and provided the perfect spot to warm up the water and steep the pine needles. It didn’t take long for the enticing aroma of pine to fill the air. The tea that’s produced has a pinkish colour and the taste is of mild pine with a hint of bitterness. I’m usually a honey-hog when brewing tea, but I can drink this tea as is. It’s rich in vitamin C and vitamin A, which is good for hair and skin regeneration. This tea may also relieve chest congestion, sore throats, and provide mental clarity – I can always use some of that!

The simple act of harvesting the pine needles with gratitude and thanks is in itself, very rewarding and grounding. I love the many uses pine trees provide us with.

We imparts this plant’s versatility in our Drenched Lip Care. The colour and flavour are provided by infusing the oil with the goodness of the needles.

As always, you can find our products, description, pricing and more on Our Products page.
