Each participant will receive a bar of wonderfully scented Thistles and Sticks artisan soap, 100% wool roving and use of the accessories needed to complete the felting.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring along a large bowl for “working” the soap, plus a large towel.

Enjoy a great afternoon of fun and fellowship. A light snack will be provided.

What are FELTED SOAPS?

Felted soap is simply a bar of soap wrapped in 100% wool. This thin wool coat helps soap last longer and makes slippery bars easier to hang on to. The wool is gently exfoliating and can replace a washcloth or bath pouf in the shower.

Wool is naturally anti-bacterial. Any odours – other than the soap inside, are eliminated. Lanolin oil, which naturally occurs in wool, is antimicrobial and antibacterial.

To use: simply add water to the bar. As you begin to rub the bar over your skin, the soft lather from the soap will fill the felted soap and gently exfoliate your skin. Use it as you would any soap and washcloth. Place the soap on a soap preserver or dish to dry between uses. This soap lasts a long time, but when it is gone, you’ll be left with a small pad of wool to reuse.
